Just wanted to take a minute to say thanks to all of my clients and friends for another successful year. Business was up this year, and I'm looking forward to see what projects you bring me next year.

New Hours

Humphrey Farm Pintails Now Available

Not sure I informed everyone on my email list. But I wanted everyone to know that Humphrey Farm Pintails artist proofs are available for sale at the shop, and also at my eBay store. They are $75 each.

These were used  for the 2015 Arkansas Duck Unlimited sponsor print to raise money for wetlands conservation. I have the Artist Proof edition of 150 in my store for sale. They are also available framed for $150 if you buy during 2016. In 2017 the framed price will go to $199.

Summertime

Just a little summer update from pollard studio. Staying busy with all your framing, plus several art projects are in the works, including the 2016 Arkansas Ducks Unlimited Sponsor Print. Working on a winter swamp scene this time.

Catching up part 1

Just wanted to share one of my recent paintings with you. This is a 24x36 acrylic on canvas featuring a local hunter with his African Warthog kill. This is the second piece I have done for the client, the first one featuring a zebra. 

The following are a few pics I shot along the way as I painted it, for those of you who appreciate such things.

Heroes Unite!

All of you super hero fans will appriciate this recent job I did for a customer. They had purchased some super hero emblems from an etsy.com seller for their boy's bedroom. Not wanting to simply hang them on the wall as they were, they came to me for some advice. 

We decided to mount all three pieces on a solid sheet of bright blue Matboard. The whole front was then covered with a reflection control glass to protect the emblems and make cleaning easier. 

Don't forget to bring in your graduation diplomas during June for 10% off your entire frame job.

2014 Arkansas Ducks Unlimited Sponsor Print

I'm proud to announce that I was chosen to paint the artwork for the 2014 Arkansas Ducks Unlimited Sponsor Print. The work is entitled "Reydell Hole," and is set in a spot near Stuttgart. The land is part of Five Oaks Hunting Lodge, owned by Mr. George Dunklin. Ducks Unlimited has received a good response for the print from supporters so far this year. Every sponsor level donor to Ducks Unlimited will receive a copy of the print. I have samples of the print for display here in the shop if anyone is interested in taking a closer look. 1200 prints were signed and numbered by yours truly. It's an exciting time at Pollard Studio. Come by and say "Hi."

Tiger Eyes

My newest artwork is called "Tiger Eyes." I received numerous requests for a tiger after a painted the hog and the bison. This was enormous fun, with all the fur and stripes. I have the original displayed in the store window. It is 36 x 48 on gallery wrapped canvas for $1500. Prints are also available at the shop or at my eBay store here.

Liberace would be proud!

Here is a frame I recently completed for a customer. The centerpiece is a business card that was signed and dedicated by Liberace himself. 

"Lee," as his friends called him, was always a bit over the top with his attire and everything else that surrounded him. Accordingly, I was glad when I was given permission to do as I pleased with this job. The situation begged for a grandiose treatment: so that's what I did. 

The card was mounted on a medium blue suede. This is surrounded by custom fabric wrapped ivory mat with encrusted sequins and faux pearls, the window of which is lined with white feathers to give it the fabulous "fur" effect. Finally I chose a traditional ornate frame which I refinished in silver and bedazzled with rhinestones. 

My customer was blown away by the finished design, guaranteed to be a conversation starter. It is always nice to have free reign creatively on a unique project. If you have a special item in your collection you would like to show off in a distinctive frame or shadow box, bring it by the shop and we'll discuss some options.
